A bouquet of thanks from us all to Carelle who has just handed over to Jane (our Membership Secretary), for all her years of hosting and excellent newsletters.
This group brought a selection of their lovely blooms to each Rose Group meeting. They discussed and recorded important advice and feedback, which was then shared with the membership.
Carelle's exceptional talent with roses has also been enjoyed by the public on 'Open Gardens/Jardins Ouvert' days.

THE VEGETABLE GROUP meets regularly from Spring to Autumn by invitation to a group member's home.
An afternoon of tea and discussions on planting times, successes with specific vegetables in many categories is extremely informative.
With both climate and garden soils to contend with it is important to know what vegetables will thrive.
Members have a good knowledge and provide sound advice when starting out.

Growing vegetables is, at best, a tricky endeavour between late frosts, scorching summers and blight.

We all said a most sincere thank you to Joy who has just handed over to Peter, for all her years hosting Vegetable Group meetings. Her meticulous newsletters that recommended the best to grow
- and recorded the failures were so appreciated.
A bouquet from us all Joy.
